Biography

Kimberly Holmes-Iverson has a wealth of award-winning communications experience as a storyteller. She has extensive PR experience and is a naturally motivating and effective leader.

 

She's currently a vice-president at the R.W. Jones Agency, helping colleges and universities across the country with their communications and media relations work. Prior to her career shift, she anchored, reported, and produced investigative reports & special reports at stations on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia, Orlando, and Cincinnati. Her career began behind the scenes as an associate producer in Miami and as an intern at Bloomberg TV’s Washington, D.C. bureau. Her journalistic work has been recognized by the Emmy® Awards, Associated Press, Religion Newswriters Association, and the National Association of Black Journalists.

The mom and wife firmly believes in encouraging young people. She's excited to teach a class at North Carolina State University this fall. Kimberly has also been an adjunct instructor at Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Throughout the years, she has been a mentor, volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and even been the leader of a Girl Scout Troop.

Kimberly runs a faith-based, retail and grief outreach organization called Still His®. The remarried widow has written several articles & books on bereavement--stemming from her own battle with grief, despair & depression after losing her first husband in a hit and run in 2016. She's encouraged varied audiences as the keynote speaker for colleges, a Florida Highway Patrol event, and various conferences -- as well as served as the Mistress of Ceremony for a wide range of events.

She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and was selected to attend the competitive HIVE Global Leadership weekend. Kimberly also served on the Sanford Alumni Council of the Sanford School for Public Policy at Duke University.

Kimberly graduated from Duke University and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
